I am still not ready to vote yet

Tying to visualize this.
in my mind, though, i was imagining a slim, but not too slim, elongated 8 done in a medium-fine brush and red ink, slightly leaning towards the upper right corner.
(yeah, that's what i saw)
the Studio could be placed on the left side of that.

I have created "studio8" and "studio eight" countless times when making these banners.... so many configurations, fonts, etc.

I don't really like any of them as logos, but yanno what? Anything will work. A logo is "branding" so as long as it's used over and over and creates a "look" it doesn't much matter if I love it or not.

What judih is describing is very similar to the blue studio 8 logo which I posted in the thread which is now being used in the cafepress store ... http://cafepress.com/studioeight ... except it's blue not red. I sorta like the dark red burgandy look .... I also like blue... but that one could easily be changed to blue.

Looks like a brush stroke, an elongated 8 leaning toward the upper right corner with "studio" on the left hand side.

Thanks, all of you for your input and ideas.

One day, I'll probably just decide on one and start using it. I might pick up the watercolors and pen&ink and try something hand drawn.

Or maybe we won't have one at all.

Or maybe something else inspire me.

Or... or .. or... I donno

And no, I have no connection to the japanese kanji symbols. I just happened to be looking for glyphs and perusing my fonts and the web while trying to get inspired and found a site with free images for japanese kanji symbols to be used as tattoos and thought the symbol for 8 was cool so I went from there.

Here's the site

I picked #1.

Why?

I like the stark simplicity... straightforward and to the point, uncluttered and visually appealing to my eye.

Thanks.... we'll see if it's a keeper the more we use it.

Good news!

Just received delivery on several items I ordered from the store. Mousepads, framed prints, & journals. They look fabulous! I couldn't be more pleased! I will be proud to give them away as Christmas gifts.

If these are examples of how the book will turn out (both in quality of print and in prompt delivery service), we have made a good choice using Cafe Press!

Did you already choose a logo?

The first one is highly professional.

The last two I adore, 3 being my favorite, totally into tats and Japanese but the last two can also symbolize you are into something you may not be.

As in belief system, what you are selling, etc.

Hey Sue... yeah we chose one but none of these. LOL!

Thanks... glad you liked these, tho.

It's just going to be used for the new site areas I was telling you about which are under development.

Maybe we'll put the logo on a mug or a t-shirt in the cafe press shop. I donno yet. In the shop (eventually, if I ever have time to set it up), we'll be selling artwork and photography by members here (prints) plus the book I'm working on which is an anthology of artwork, photography and poetry so the logo will probably go on there too.

:)
