I have created "studio8" and "studio eight" countless times when making these banners.... so many configurations, fonts, etc.
I don't really like any of them as logos, but yanno what? Anything will work. A logo is "branding" so as long as it's used over and over and creates a "look" it doesn't much matter if I love it or not.
What judih is describing is very similar to the blue studio 8 logo which I posted in the thread which is now being used in the cafepress store ...
http://cafepress.com/studioeight ... except it's blue not red. I sorta like the dark red burgandy look .... I also like blue... but that one could easily be changed to blue.
Looks like a brush stroke, an elongated 8 leaning toward the upper right corner with "studio" on the left hand side.
Thanks, all of you for your input and ideas.
One day, I'll probably just decide on one and start using it. I might pick up the watercolors and pen&ink and try something hand drawn.
Or maybe we won't have one at all.
Or maybe something else inspire me.
Or... or .. or... I donno
And no, I have no connection to the japanese kanji symbols. I just happened to be looking for glyphs and perusing my fonts and the web while trying to get inspired and found a site with free images for japanese kanji symbols to be used as tattoos and thought the symbol for 8 was cool so I went from there.
Here's the site
