Help!

Post by libberator » October 2nd, 2007, 10:50 am

I haven't been able to access this site from my home computer at all lately. Whenever I put in the link to the homepage or click my bookmark to the forums I get a message that tells me it could not be found. At first I thought that the site was down, but then I found that I could still get to it through my school computers.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?
I've tried a spyware scan already thinking it might be a hijacking program but I didn't find anything.

Hey libberator. Sorry to hear this. I don't know what the problem could be. Maybe I could find someone who might have some advice.

First, on the computer where you can't access the site, what operating system are you using?

What browser and browser version?

Can you please quote exactly what the error message says?

Those tidbits of info might help those in the know about techie stuff.

Anybody have any advice for libberator?

I'll also direct someone to this thread who may have some advice.

If you don't already have it ;
Download and install mozilla firefox

And , if you do have it . On the tool bar click : tools :
click on options and choose content ; Make sure that
enable javascript and enable java are checked.

When you're done , click on privacy and make sure that
the accept cookies from this site box is checked .
Then just restart firefox and Voila!

If you're surfing with EXPLORER,
you're on your own ...

Thanks for all the replies everyone.
I've been using the latest version of mozilla firefoxe and internet explorer and haven't been able to acess the site from either one.
I tried your advice anonymous-one, java and javascript were already enabled, and the accept ccookies box was already checked, so the problem must be something else.

The error message I get says:
Service not found
Firefox con't find the server at www.studioeight.tv.
-Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com, instead of www.example.com.
-If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection
-If your computer is protected by a firewall or proxy make sure that Firefox is permitted to acess this site.

good luck
this is the only computer I have been able to logon and post.
Never have been able to logon with my

My mac powebook
and two other computers
they never recognize my user name and password.

Maybe I have a different problem. I use firefox on the mac, not sure if it is latest version.
IE 6 on the Window XP computers.
