Hi all!

I had an idea to create banners using the artwork of famous artists. I've created 3 or 4 so far.

In another thread, I asked S8 members which artists they'd like to see represented in the form of banners. These suggestions have been coming on that thread as well as another so I thought I'd compile the list here in the Feedback forum so we could have the names all in one place.

Please add to this thread by naming the artists who you'd like to see represented in banners. Links would be nice, too. Thank you!

These are the names which have been submitted so far. Add more, please!

Pablo Picasso
Henri Matisse
Georgia O'keefe
Mark Rothko
Joan Miro
Lee Krasner
Helen Frankenthaler
Jackson Pollock
Elaine de Kooning
Salma Arastu
Wilfredo Lam
Isamu Noguchi
José Clemente Orozco
Piet Mondrian
Dan Namingha
Paul Klee
Alexander Calder
Dale Chihuly

Hi Dor! :D

(Long time since I've posted)

How about:
Monet

and Rick Sharp ... a classic California/Hawaii poster artist
http://www.ricksharp.com/

And possibly something Degas (?)
Most of his work is ballerinas but there is this one painting ... "Spartan Girls Challenging Boys. c.1860-62" ... http://www.abcgallery.com/D/degas/degas9.html
but it might be a bit too risque. Certainly fun and worth taking a peeking at though.

never saw that one by degas before - he's one of my favorites. saw an exhibition of his wax nudes that were bronze-casted after he died. there's something about his nudes - there is no element of voyeurism, and they are perfect from any angle you look at them.

yeah - just walked through a degas exhibit here in tel aviv. (i grew up with his ballerinas), but his statues of nudes are far more intimate.

Renoir
