why do some posts have the operator "Sticky" in bold in subject line? what is this code for?

"sticky" is just a way to "stick" a post with info up top of the page for a while

i used it the other day to announce the Word Jam we had yesterday

"Announcement" stays all the way on top, "Sticky" comes next

stickies and announcements can be unstuck later when the news isn't news any more
