I see a post dated this way

31 Dec 1969 07:00 pm

There's no name next to it.. it says last post in the thread on the creative writing board.

Something's screwy.

If you see anything like this again please let me know.

I saw the same type of thing last night so I posted to that forum and it went away.

Hard to explain.

the post has been deleted...

i just checked the settings... the permissions are set for the general discussion boards for registered users.... nothing has changed there

how a "guest" can post is beyond me

sophisticated bots... there's some mighty smart programmers out there

i gotta headache

I saw that post too. It's astounding and perplexing; on one hand, that's quite a feat of programming. On the other hand, that's an ignorant and utterly useless method of advertising. Why would someone waste good programming on something useless?

Yeah. I agree, Mars. Why would they waste good programming on such an effort? I'm convinced they do it for the sole purpose of giving me a headache.
