Last Weekend in May Poetry Jam...Theme suggestions please?

Post by Doreen Peri » May 15th, 2006, 2:32 pm

We'd like to have a Word Jam the last weekend in May. This time, a Poetry Jam. The only true Poetry Jam we've had (though all our jams have included poetry, of course) ... was the Haiku Jam a few months ago and it was really very cool! That Jam was form driven. But themes have worked well in other jams, so let's do a Poetry Jam inspired by a theme. Want to?

Do you have any themes in mind?

Post them here and I'll turn it into a poll and everybody can vote. If your theme doesn't get picked this time, we can use it later for a future jam.

Whaddya say? Wanna play?

Since there are so many poets here, it themes like you might want to. ;) heh .. hope so!

i wanna jam
hot family jam? (hmmmmm - we just had Lag B'Omer here in Israel which centres around bonfires)

Desperately seeking DNA jam (looking for relatives and relatives of the soul)

Hot summer and cool drinks jam?

Out of curiousity, how's the weather over at your place? Is it summer yet? Over here the green of spring has fast faded to dried wheat summer and sand.

No idea about Virginia but here it Texas if you are curious it is:

Very nice weather-

Rare Days In May for south central Texas

Cool mornings, fair days, and the nights are made for love.

Summer arrives early here, normally Tropical heat and humidity by now.

Memorial Day Jam?

The first summer weekend

Summer of Love?

DNA sounds good too

Thanks, judih and 'truckin!

At least we know 3 of us wanna jam. ;)

Maybe I'll send out an email to the group to direct them to this thread. Gotta think about it. I don't like sending out too many emails.

The Hot Damn Cool Drinks DNA Summer of Love Jam? heh

How's the weather here, judih? Very mild spring weather... nice and cool... Some days it's gotten up in the 70's but no humidity.... other days, it's only been in the 50's or 60's ... lotsa rain lately.. the garden is loving it! But today it's not raining and the sky is blue blue blue with white cumulous clouds (yeah I know I don't think I spelled that right.. lol)....Summer there early, huh?

StillT- Glad to hear you're having some nice spring weather in TX!
