For about a half hour maybe more the banner and all the avatars were gone. Also there was no reply or post new topic buttons. It was like a nightmare all over again. So what happened.

I dont' think anything went wrong with the forum software, 'truckin.
I'm pretty sure what you experienced was a memory problem with your browser.
I suspect if you quit your browser and restarted it, the images all came back.
If they came back without you restarting it, well, I still think it was probably a memory problem and the way your computer was divvying out memory to whatever applications you had open at the time (your browser being one of them).
I'd call this an educated guess.... given the fact that I'm nearly technically illiterate.

Probably so Doreen. It beats me too? AB was logged in at the time and she posted one to mousey with no problem or so it seemed..
Yeah my computer bad.

There is goes again, no reply or new topic buttons on creative. Shut down my computer restarted. Still o banner no buttons for creative posts. My computer bad I suppose.
Only post that seems to be affected on creative is Traveller13 post about cat on keyboard. All the other posts ok, just that one is not showing up right, can't reply and no banner.

truckin'.... try this
I donno if it will work ... lol.. but try it
go into your browser preferences settings... find the "cookies" area and select all the references to studio eight and delete them.
Then quit your browser and restart it. When you hit the site again, the cookies will be replaced. (Want some milk with that?

)
Maybe that will help.
Another thing... I donno how it works on PC but on the older Macs, we used to be able to allot additional memory to a particular application.
Believe me, the banner and the buttons are appearing from here so there's something not working right on your computer, yes. Best to you!
