ranks - "studio 8 addict"

Post by Doreen Peri » April 22nd, 2007, 9:43 pm

i just found this thing today called "ranks" in the configuration of the boards where you can set a number of posts to give you a certain rank so i arbitrarily typed in 2000 posts to be a "studio 8 addict"

silly idea probably but it works! I can see it under some of your names!

So.... do you want to set "ranks"?

Number of posts = name of rank

You name it, I'll set it!

Apparently, you can also upload icons to represent these ranks.. so we could have an icon for "studio eight addicts" and another icon for "i just got here" and another icon for "i stop by whenever but i really hate this place" ... lol  of whatever names of ranks you want to create and whatever arbitrary numbers of posts you want to include

apparently "site admin" which is me overrides the "studio eight addict" rank so I'm thinking of losing the "site admin" rank and just using the "addict" rank myself 'cause i never wanted to be anything else other than an addict of a good cause

Name your ranks!

do you like this idea? could be fun and creative.. we can change it as we go

if you hate it, i'll eliminate it

just part of the software i didn't discover until tonight

well you can be both an addict
(and the site admin in parentheses small type)

i went on one website about underwater photography of females in bathing suits
it was thru lit kicke
some guy stationed in iraq
worked in some kind of maintenance shop
so we got snatches of his blogs from there and also
sweets real eye candies as well
but i was ranked a novice
haha
here i am well,
in like flynn

it's kool with me
sometimes i remember to look at the number of posts
by the avatars with date of joining
but hey a cute small symbol is a neat idea
i bet mousey has some sweet little moving avatars floating around
in her mousey den

bird's egg in backyard buddha's lap
shining white in the sun
now broken open
ancient chinese delicacy inside
old lumps of dried birdie egg fu forever young
and below buddha's mat
mousey droppings
contemplated then
swept away with a bean pod
dried annd fallen
from backyard reverie tree
then placed on altar
behind
threaded lacy pine brushes
from high up blown in
did my bows
made my vows
i'm on a survival mission
yo ho ho an a bottle of rum om

What I am not liking is the fact that hester songs got bumped maybe because I am taking up too much space on your server. I am pretty sure I am the biggest ratchet jaw here. Motor mouth jack, I go opinions on everything, my herculean intelligence. I think I should be ranked for the Rush Limbaugh award.

I been thinking of trying to cut back, put a quater in the kitty eveytime I post.

I am okay as long as you count the quanity I guess, not the quality.

No... the posts on here take up hardly any space. You could post for 10 more years at the same pace you're posting and not take up too much space on the server.

What was taking up too much space on the server was 1gig... that's right.. 1 gig.. of music created by Clay, for the most part... some of which was mine.

Much of that stuff was sketches and poorly recorded stuff just having fun and instead of going through it piece by piece to figure out what I wanted to keep on there and what could be removed with nobody missing it, I dumped the whole "musicpost" folder and we've been putting a few back little by little.

I fully intend to put hester's music back up there! I just haven't had the time to address it yet.

Your friend and fellow studio 8 addict,

doreen peri :)
