FAQs about the Image-ination Word Jam
Q. Image? Whose image?
A. Bring your images. Bring others' images - be sure to credit the creator/artist/photographer.
Q. How will it work?
A. The image will be the first post in the thread. Words will follow.
Q. And if I want to respond with an image?
A. Respond, by all means. But if the image diverts the thread, start a new thread.
Q. What do you mean? There'll be more than 1 thread?
A. Yes, we will have multple threads. People can either start a thread with an image or reply to an image thread with word jamming.
Q. Will this be confusing?
A. No! This is how we'll keep it straight. If you start a thread with an image, title it "Image-ination Jam #1 - Name of thread."
For example: I'd entitle my thread "Image-ination Jam #1 - Empty Glass" and of course, I'd start with a glorious picture of an empty glass. You'd respond with words, and others would jam off your response and/or to the image.
Q. What made you think of this?
A. The Studio 8 webhostess has been cooking this up for some time. Now is the time to get the jam rolling.

Thanks for announcing this, judih!

I love that!
Experimental Internet! Oh yeah!
Image-ine that!
FAQ are perfect!
One more tip regarding crediting the creator of the image - Jammers, if you use an image from another website, an image you didn't create, make sure to place a link to the site where you got it, OK? If you created it yourself, feel free to link to your website if you have one and if you want to.
Should I create an entirely separate forum for this?
Clay thought it might be a good idea.
The Image-ination Jam Forum.
What do you think, judih?
Looking forward to this. Now I need to find a few images so I can play. Hopefully I'll have time this time. Hell, I'll MAKE time, right?
I've got to! Need to jam, that's for sure!
This will be fun! We've never done multiple threads at a Jam before (other than at the Scroll).... not with this software.
It will be an Eye & Ear Feast ('cause to me, poetry is music... i hear it!) A literal literary sensory inspiration bombardment!
One more thing...
If you all can try to make sure the images you post are sized down some... you know... not HUGE... it will be helpful for those with slower connections because a very large picture takes a long time to load with a slow connection. If you don't have the software to size your images down a bit, no problem. But if you do, please do.
Jam on, ImaJammers!

separate forum?
Separate forum?
Yes! Why not!
Good point, Dor, about trying to reduce image sizes.
It's also a pain when images stretch the page so much that i have to scroll from side to side to see everything.
Think ecological! Reduce your pixel usage!
all extra pixels will be donated to a charity of under-pixelled users.
yeah.
