50 and nobody wants them , ho well!
I'll post them on the Gmail invites board and let them scatter
like dead leaves in a early fall wind.

Your welcome , it was a pleasure making the .gif for your birthday.

I don't understand what they're for.

Can you explain?

Invitations for a free email account? There are free email accounts everywhere.

I don't get it. Help me out here, ok? Please?

duhhhhh

you can get 'gmail' right now by invitation only. It's far trippier than hotmail or yahoo (though hotmail and yahoo are trying to catch up, it would seem)

It organizes for me - it lets me know which of my contacts are online and i can do chat on the spot while writing them - one screen - divided into segments (chat plus letter exchange).
It keeps a record of ongoing conversations - grouping them in threads.

i like it!
and it's huge - lots of space for storage.

and that's my take on gmail. firsty knows more about it and has hinted elsewhere that it's even more useful (elsewhere meaning i don't remember in which threads but recently in the thread about the book)

Most free account offer only 250 mb (million bytes) of space ; if you
need more space because you have a business lets say , you have to
pay extra for it. Gmail gives you 2Gb (billion bytes) of space free
of charge , that's 8 times more space than the average E-mail client.

Plus you have a POP , STMP server free of charge , so you can
connect your regular e-mail account to your Gmail account.
