Gone go, go gone, never went, Go, i always thought that was an intellectual game for hip people, Playboy magazine used to have an occasional artilcle about the game Go. That was back in the fifties when I was a pubescent jackster. The game looked pretty interesting. Hartford ave, 1954 the summer of Brown vs Topeaka Board of Education. I always tried to dress the "ivy league look" when I was in junior high, those shirts with the button down collars, but they had to have a button in the back of the collar, pants with the buckle in the back. That is where he grabbed me from behind. I did not know he was a cop until I was already turning and swinging. My fist caught him up side his nose, but just a glancing blow. Knocked his sunglasses off. Man those baltimore cops in the fifties, they had those uniforms right out of one those thirties black and white gangster movies. Carried those wood night sticks, and he was an artist with it.
GOGOGOGO ,,,,GO....Go....Go...jack kerouac kept shoutin' it during six gallery reading of HOWL!.....Go Go Go GO by john Clellon Holmes....stole jack's thunder?...and just why did he avoid that rendezvous with henry miller////....mysteries....like Lorca....dylan thomas.....or the greatest mysterioso of all willie shakes.....

I'm confused by your post, Mark
What do you mean, "It's not the Go"? What do you mean it's not the same?
I think it's been great!
Is it the software you don't like? Or what?
Here's what I think.... For months and months, people came on here and posted there and everywhere else all upset that Litkicks had closed their boards and they didn't like this software as much because the threads were closed up, not the open-threaded software that makes an outline like LK used to have and the Scroll has and soooooo.... I thought it would be cool to collaborate with the Scroll so that jammers would be able to use the open-threaded software which they all stated they missed so much and also this software which is closed-threaded like we use for GO and our jams here.
I'm happy with how many people turned out... it's been a blast! Only 45 minutes left... come on over!
I don't understand your post. Could you clarify? Could you explain?

by the time this was made I was cool with the jam you should have heard me earlier....what i finally got out of it was that it was great...something like Action Poetry on a good responsive day...the format I feel was was too behind doors that had to be openedfor it to become an open jam as I would like to see. I think the whole thing needs to be continuous and the previous post in the jam has to be played off of as it were, on one hand it was great as an interaction exercise but on the other hand, it created many documents and lines of thought that were awesome, but not a continual free flowing jam as i envision the jam concept to be.
the post that started this thread was very simple and was only saying that "GO" is GO and nothing else but "GO"

what I was responding to, Mark, was you saying
Many people wanted to have Jams on the same type of software LK used to use for their boards. They repeatedly posted here that it would be nice to have the open-thread software so you could *see* what people were replying to. It goes very fast sometimes and on the closed thread software like here on S8, you can't tell what people are replying to. I agree that it creates a different atmosphere and unifies the document so there is more of a feeling of a "flow" of ONE document on this software. But the other is different and and offers it's own value where people can view which replies are bouncing off which posts.... and as I said, many like that very much and had asked for it.
The plan is to have regularly scheduled Jams... the first and third friday of every month. The first Friday at the Scroll. The third Friday right here in the Jam Session forum. So, the next one will be here on January 21st.
This way, twice a month we get to experience a Jam with different people on two different boards, both of which create a different *type* of experience because of the software.
You like the closed thread software here. And that's good. Before, you had stated that you missed the LK software, so that's why I was confused. Others like the open thread software. Therefore, hopefully everybody will be happy because we now have the opportunity to use BOTH types of software for these happenings.
Thanks to Thom for being so generous and collaborative! This is truly what internet collaboration is about. I enjoyed jamming with some of the scrollers who don't come here and hopefully some will come here for the next jam and we can jam with them here, also!
I posted on the Scroll Cafe to ask what everyone thought of the First Scroll Jam so if you'd like to make your comments over there, too, that would be great.
I'm also going to start another thread here in the Feedback forum to get input from you and the others who participated.
Thanks for being there! I thought it was a gas! I loved it! I had a lot of fun playing Bonnie again.... I appreciated you leading me into that! It was a lot of fun!
because I didn't understand it. Thanks for explaining. I had no clue which post came first. This one? Or the one at the Scroll when you praised the event.it's kinda like doin' action poetry again...but that's not ~GO~....at least for me it's not.........
