Coming Soon! - Regularly Scheduled Word Jams - 2005

Post by Doreen Peri » December 6th, 2004, 9:54 pm

OK! So, we're gonna jam on a regular basis like we talked about before! Cool, huh?

Thom at the Scroll ( http://scroll.org ) has set up a board especially for US! And we've decided to create a regular schedule for the jams, starting in January. We'll do one jam a month at his place and one jam a month right here in the Jam Session forum!

Here's the logo I designed for our place....

Image

And here's the one I designed for his place (it matches his new jam page.)

Image

Yeah, they're the same... but different. Like all of us! The same but different! :D

Mark your calendars! First and Third Fridays, every month.... starting at 3PM EST for 24-hours for each jam. We'll start on Friday, January 7th. So, here's the initial schedule (as it stands now).

Friday, January 7th at the Scroll
Friday, January 21st at Studio Eight
Friday, February 4th at the Scroll
Friday, February 18th at Studio Eight

Are you excited about this? I am! The Scroll has the open thread software we all love so much. So, it will give us a varied experience to go back and forth, plus hopefully some Scrollers will join in over there and also come over here to our jams!

What's not to like?

It's the internet. It's what's happenin'! It's the way it's supposed to be.... collaboration at it's finest!

I'm psycho!.... er, psyched!!! and HYPED, too!

Hey, you guys... it would be very cool if you went over there to http://scroll.org and registered and got used to the software some. It's a little different in regards to navigation, etc., so try it out!

I post on Critic Corner. Hope to see you there before the jams start and please mark your calendars, ok? ;)

Ohhhh judih... you'll be there! You've GOT to be!

I count your future by a lifetime!

(I do worry about you over there all the time).

Thanks for your enthusiasm!

I'm going to go post the logo at the top of your 8-day miracle jam.

(a little late, but still, we have 7 more days! ;))

I put the logo up at the top of the thread.

I'll do that every time we have a jam.

I also inserted it a page or two ago.

I haven't had much time... I've been working all day.

Right now, I'm trying to design a new, simple front page because I keep hearing the one that's up there sucks.

;)

I'll be jammin' soon as I can.

front page of Studio 8? the Studios?
sucks?

who would dare to employ such an epithet?
(don't tell me....)

suck is in the eye of the beholder or him

for the record, i like it, but am always willing to see your innovations

Geezzzz... Did I screw up somewhere? I don't remember announcing this anywhere yet. If I typed the 21st somewhere ... whoops!

Where was it? If it's here or on another site where I can edit, I'll go back and edit it.

Thanks, Judih! We appreciate your announcements and enthusiasm!

Yikes! Thanks e-dog.... I'll fix it. :D

I gotta go look at the Scroll to make sure they've got it right over there, too. That's the only other place it could be 'cause that's the only other place the schedule was posted.

edit - Just looked. It's fine over there. I must need glasses. Or a calendar with the correct year or to look at the correct month... geeezzzzz ... lol

Anyway, time to make a March schedule, too, so I'll be more careful next time.
