I just deleted a thread of mine because I wanted to.
You should have the right to do that, too.
Everybody who posts here should have that right.
On the VBulletin software, it's an option. But this is phpBB and the version we're running doesn't offer that option to the user.
I think this is wrong. I think all people using the internet should be able to control their own threads.
I will try to find out how to make it a option for you, too, using this phpBB software.
Will take a modification probably.
I need help, btw, from a techie. Anybody knowledgeable users of phpBB out there?
I had hired my son but he's busy lately.
Write me to help. I need to upgrade the forum software and make other changes, such as the one I'm suggesting here.
Thanks!
Everybody should be able to delete their own threads

Sure. Your own threads. Just ask me.
You should be able to delete your own posts too. You can only do that if you're a moderator. That's stupid. Everybody should be able to have control over their own posts.
If I get the software upgraded, there's an upload image feature.
I need someone to help me. Last time I tried to upgrade the software, I screwed it up bigtime, couldn't get the site up at all and had to ask the host to restore the site from back up. We lost like 24 hours of posts.
Anyway, I need someone to do it for me and don't have anybody to help at the moment. Don't worry though... eventually it will happen. Count on it!

Busy with my own project now, but I am a bit of a tech head, so feel free to contact me about any issues, and I'll try to help you with them.doreen peri wrote:I need help, btw, from a techie. Anybody knowledgeable users of phpBB out there?
I appreciate such an offer coming from Mr One-Post of WhoAreYousVille, may not be taken up, but it does no harm to make the offer.

At least everyone knew I had been there and if the next post in the thread was rendered surreal people would at least no why. There had been some sort of post there....

I would say anyone has the right to delete their artblog. But on all the other boards leave them be or dot them out.
One writer here deleted some beautiful writings before they could be replied to. I started getting paranoid everytime I saw a new poem. I would post something to it anything just to keep him from deleting it.
"It is okay to paranoid if you are paranoid."
I only post two places if Studio Eight went down again I would go crazy.
I can face life after death
but not life after studio eight
Wellcome aboard Xpress,
I hope you have fun here.

I leave the deleting up to you. You got the right to delete any posts yours, mine or anyones. I notice you are talking about threads not individual posts.I think we've been politely told not to call D 'The Boss'............
