Just want to thank Judih and Wired for the 8 day jam, it was really something, reading everyone's posts, getting inspired, laughing my head off. And a big thanks to Doreen too, for making this kind of thing possible.
Heartfelt smooches all around

I find it hard to thank Doreen without thanking Clay too.

I know he was there making the coffee and rolling and taking out the trash.

sometimes I feel guilty about wanting to kick in his door and carry his woman off

where is Clay

Sorry been listening to audio tapes of the Iliad everynight. Got all those Trojan images in my mind.********

Ya know a more interesting question for me is "Did Homer exist." not Jesus

it was a great jam alright
kinda sounds like the echoes of silence without being in the middle of an 8 day party

it's good to have pockets of action and then a chance to empty the pockets.

so glad you were part of it, hester and still t.
so glad all who came aboard stayed to play their song

and to those whose words are left unrecorded, you were the magic catalyst that itself is unseen but brings on the wild effects of change.

thanks!

i am a bystander
partaking of imaginary
toast from bread
with the push of a lever,

hot-crusted, ready to be
buttered and
strawberry-
jammed.

seat me.
serve me.
i peruse your menu
and choose a feast.

i am thankful
for being
seated.

if the only two possible subjects for poetry
are love and death, I am an authority on one
and a novice at the other.
What kind of poet am I?

I've studied death through spectacles
and when I meet love I ask for ID
I have no sympathy for suckers or poseurs
I just want metaphors made of steel
