Everyone knows Stedman

New York Times best selling author Stedman Graham visited Gloucester County Friday the first of August for a book signing and to endorse the Gloucester Institute. He attended the event at Holly Knoll, (Dr. Robert Russa Moton's retirement home) on the York River and is now the new location for the institute. Although I spent a few minutes alone with Stedman I could not get an interview. At that time he was resting after the event in a room where I was packing up a collection I had on display of Moton collectables. However I did have a conversation with him about the collection and how it came to be but he quickly sat down at a desk and began to read a book about Walter Reed another historical Gloucester figure. I decided not to push my luck, continued packing and left him alone. Exiting times in Gloucester County VA.

Why? He's a person. He wrote a book. He has a life. I'm sure he has his own achievements.

Why call him a "trophy"? Just because they decided not to get married? Who the hell cares?

Handsome man.

She's got good taste.

I stand corrected. When my paper annonced his visit they also mentioned his Oprah connection, that is what he is most famous for however I disagreed with them wording it that way. They should have left his description as New York Times Best Selling Author.
And yes, handsome and stands about six feet five, a very tall man. He towered over everyone at the function.
