Spirit World Restless is a book of my poetry kindly created by Ray Soulard, Jr. of Scriptor Press. He prepared it for distribution at Burning Man, 2004. And so, i attended that famed event vicariously.

Here's an online link to the pdf version.
Please read, enjoy, skim, scan or mosey.

Thanks!
And don't hesitate to throw comments in this direction.

Thanks, wireman!

doreen - thanks for the show of economic support, but i don't have copies for sale. In fact, i don't have a proper one, myself.

Ray produced it on a Mac and i don't have access to one. The copy i've got is the downloaded adobe, which isn't quality stuff.

Online is where it's at.

And I'm glad of that.

You have a lot in common with LR. Page 40 of your book (Pdf version) contains references that recall a couple of tunes I helped fashion with Pop in the dim past. One was called Mushroom Men and another was called Last Life. Ask him about 'em, won't you?

And not. Your references to the violent neighborhood in which you abide are well described. We have to go to Afganistan and Iraq to enjoy some of the pleasures you sing about. It is no wonder you turn to verse for tender distraction. I think you are what you write.

I believe you are correct:

what is
lasts as long as it is

You keep being is, ok?

Judih I remember the healing words you had for me last year on LitKicks when I posted a PTSD memo/ will now have to go back and recover it...interesting how you live in a situation that encompasses healing in an environment where conflict is the underlying reality....you are cultivating your gardens....will read the poesiey tomorrow when off work. I do like your connection with OM imagery and Ram Dasss, my Moishe Buddah man.
"spirit world restless"
there is an underground river
you float in it at will
inner tube carries you
under it all. your
imageries unfolding
pillarz of salt
kibbutz near oz
emerald green
"move on" page 38 0r 39
took me back to santa cruz
dumpster searching for a #10 can
for food bent from stupormarket
and cowboy coffee maker
place the grounds in the can
fill with water from the san lorenzo river
place on fire and wait
when the coffee just rolls a bit
take it off and let it sit.
yet here i am, 24 years later.
the descent was enormous
as was the healing.
"in alchemy
and destiny
we move on"
just tracing a thread
cosmic
we became healers.
