Just curious how you do this... how you broadcast it, etc.

Do you have to get permission to use some of the material? do you mix it and broadcast it from your own server? or?

i'm very curious about how it works...

if you'd like to share for curious people like me, please do!

SpiritPlants Radio comes from a server owned by Yage.net. The DJs connect remotely to it from all over the world, and broadcast from their homes. The station is non-commercial and web-only. Anyone can put a station on the 'net with a server, some basic broadcasting tools such as WinAmp, and some content to stream. I believe Live365.com is one of the more prominent site for those without servers of their own. But they charge for their service nowadays. Hope this explains some :)
