awww come ON! Let's DO something!

What would you like to do? post pictures and we'll draw them? post a poem and we'll draw a picture to accompany it?

How about a letter writing jam? write letters to each other like back in the day when people actually wrote letters to each other? (not email but real letters)

Maybe we should have a contest. Is it hokey to have a contest? What type of contest? Who would be the judges? What would be the prize?

I'm achin' for ideas here... so.... SPILL!

First thought was world peace
to see every child fed, clothed and sheltered
a cure for cancer
something like that
no much fun there

Only replying cause I can't stand to see you achin.

How about another image-ination jam?

how about some universal health care?
equal rights for all people?
some love and understanding?
no more ageism, sexism, chauvinism, racism,
how about some sanity, insanity -
free expression, consideration
sex for those who want it,
retreat for those who need it
a roof over our heads
a floor without earthquakes,
a trip to a favourite location
a room of one's own
and then some dinner.

I'm thinking of a role playing thing ... we tried writing a play once as an event but very few showed up. I don't know that the play writing idea worked out very well.

Role playing, letter writing... hmmm... these ideas intrigue me.

Trying to think of how exactly it would work.

Perdida (Maree) owns a site called Algonquin's Table. It's here:

She's going to host a "Fall Retreat Word Jam" starting next weekend for a week.

(Her screen name on Studio Eight is Perdida and at Algonquin's Table, her screen name is Dark Angel)

I think that's great and I hope many of the Studio Eight writers will join in!

Just thought I'd let you know now what's going on with that and I'll be providing more information later in the week about the Jam.

In the meantime, stop on by over there and register. You'll enjoy the site! It's a small but growing site with some very good writers!
