Winter Holiday Images for Banners - Submission request

Post by Doreen Peri » December 9th, 2009, 10:42 am

Hi all!

We're planning a winter Holiday Word Jam and I'd like to rotate some festive banners throughout the Jam. Thing is, even after 5 years online, I don't seem to have banners designed for Christmas time.

So, I need your help.

Would you like to have your photos or artwork turned into a site banner to be displayed during our Holiday Word Jam? Of COURSE you would!

Please take photos of the season or create some seasonal artwork and post the images here on this thread.

Please note:
• Ideally, the images should lend themselves to being cropped to the size of the banner. In other words, landscape rather than portrait, wide rather than tall.
• Also, please try to make sure they are as wide as the banner. I can crop the height.
• Close-ups can work well. Just an idea.
• Please do not add the text "studio eight" to the artwork. No text on the images, please.

Suggestions:
• Photos of a street where holiday lights are displayed
• Decorations like Christmas trees, wreaths, holly ... green & red
• Chanukah candles
• Holiday food & drink
• Artwork depicting anything festive
• Abstract art using holiday colors

I'm sure you can think of more.

If your submissions are selected to be used for holiday banners, you will be given proper credit with your name on the banner plus these banners will be displayed again next year, the year after, etc.

Thanks for posting your submissions to this thread!
