Addendum: My column, "Life in the Horse Lane" has now been on the net for a little more than two months. I appreciate all who have posted thus far and invite anyone who cares to visit in the future. I am trying to keep an open mind on all responses. Thanks again to my sponsor, Doreen Peri, and others. Keep those cards and letters coming into "Life in the Horse Lane" and I will try to keep it interesting. I am very pleased at the response so far.

I now have a "chat spot" in my column, "Life in the Horse Lane". It is located in
"chat spot" topic. Of course, it is subject to administration approval. If approved, anyone wishing to become more acquainted with me, or others, may post there. Easy on the language and it is not a place to "hook up". It is just a spot to "chew the fat" and get to know each other better. Kind of like General Discussion forum, but more on a personal basis. Arranging meetings is okay as long as it is congenial and everyone is an adult. But it is certainly much better to send e-mails to confirm meetings. We don't have space for that here. This is not going to be "Chatty Steve's" 800 number spot. If it gets too weird, we'll just request that things get locked down. I don't think it will come to that.
Hopefully folks will be kind to each other and we will not have "flame chatting". I will permit no bullying. I will try to be civil myself. I usually am, but sometimes I get annoyed by a troll. Studio Eight is already kind of like a coffee house or like being in someone's collective living room. So come in and set a spell...
The "Chat spot" has now been approved. Please go to that topic to post messages
to each other and get reacquainted, etc.
