Finally I caught up!

What a lovely collection of banners we have.

MANY thanks to the talented artists and photographers at Studio Eight!

Now, to find a techie person to write some code so these banners will rotate at the top of the page automatically every time you click.

Coming soon to Studio Eight! It WILL happen and it will be fun!

Stay tuned. ;)

Would you like a job changing the banners every day, jimbo?

I've been doing it for 6 years and I couldn't keep up with it.

I can get a techie to write the script so they change once a day instead of every time you click.

Otherwise, you're welcome to the job to help me change them manually.

Just let me know.

...... thanks for the nice comment on my "The Road" watercolor banner.... I wish I had the original painting. It got lost in the shuffle.

mercy me
i do appreciate that, did not know that you had to womanually change the banners, it is truly a way to keep this place alive inbetween lifelessness

once a day is great because the banners collection is so great

this road banner lifts me up a lot
more than nice work, it gives healing, energy, vitality

i would rather the banner get changed less often if it means a daily chore that can become tedious at times, wondering what next

the click it and change is worth a try
i just like the current banner a lot

love you for your marvelous studio eight, doreen
almost as much as i love studious eight herself

Doreen, I, too, love today's coastal banner with the rocky beach. Reminds me either of the coast of Maine or of the Pacific Northwest somewhere. Do you know where the photo was taken?

Once again, I appreciate all you do for Studio Eight and I hope you
are feeling better...Hope you get the help you need from some really
kind and apt techie. This site really is boss.

Yours, in the blogosphere,
Steve Plonk

Jim, I was just kidding. I knew you probably didn't know what it takes to change them. Thanks for the love! That's a cool illustration! .... What it takes to change them now is I have an FTP program which gives me access to the site files. Then I have to look through the banner collection and select one I want to use and rename it "top_image.jpg" and save it on my desktop. Then I open the FTP program and go to the proper directory and upload the file to replace the one that's there also named "top_image.jpg".... they all need to be named the same because the code on the page refers to a file by that name ... so I keep the collection in another place with different names to identify them, then rename them "top_image.jpg" and upload. It's really not that much work. It only takes about 5 minutes, depending on how long it takes me to select the banner. But sometimes, I don't do it for several weeks because I get busy doing something else. And I was thinking that it would be a LOT nicer for everyone who comes here to see more of the banners more often... to automate a rotation in the coding. I really do think it would make the site a little more exciting and fun so people who come here can refresh their page or make a post and every time they do something, the banner changes. I really do think you might enjoy it. Of course, I could get a techie to write the code to make them change more slowly than every refresh. etc.... Thanks again for your kindness, love and support! :) We're so glad you're here!

Steve ..... and we're glad you're here, too! Thank you so much for being here and being so supportive of the site with your poetry, essays, comments to others, participation, etc.

You both are gems and help make Studio Eight a great site!
