Forum software updated! - New style coming soon!

Sorry for the 20 minute down time within the past hour. We were updating the software to the most recent version.

Also, coming soon, we'll be using a new style... Studio8 will look a little different but it will be a very nice change I hope you all will like.

We've loved using this style (the "look" of the site) called Conundrum for the past 6 years, but it's no longer being developed and updated along with the software so we've been inundated with spam bots. For that reason and for other security reasons which are to your benefit, we'll be changing styles within the next week or so.

No worries! The beautiful rotating banners will still be here! All of your posts will still be here! The navigation will be the same. All of your private messages and all data will remain intact. The site will just look a little different and we hope you're going to like the new look! I think it's pretty!

But most importantly, the security of the site to protect us from spam bots and other security risks will be solved.

When the new style is launched, there should be some neat new features and site functions, too, that aren't utilised by Conundrum. May find a few new toys on S8 for us all to play with.. stay tuned..

Temporarily, I've turned off registration entirely so if you have friends who want to join, they'll have to wait until we get the new style up and our bot security measures in place.

Judih, James and I have been all deleting multiple bots every day for a while now. I got tired. *smile*

Yeah it will be 8 years in July 2012. We're thinking of an 8-year anniversary party for studio8 ..... might be very cool!

Maybe you have some ideas to add. Would be very cool for some of us to get together and read some poetry and do an open mic or something and play some music and meet each other in person finally.
