Great pics, everyone! I noted a blatant typo on the title: should read "Poetry
Show @ Cafe Nola". Great poetry scene up there in Maryland. Some of our
venues have closed down in Chattanooga, TN. There are not as many "open mikes" down here as three years ago...

Re: poerty show @ cafe nola
It's actually Cafe Nola - here's a link to their website
http://www.cafe-nola.com/
A really cool spot!
Typos were me probably calling it Nola Cafe...
Ohhhh... I see what you're saying. Poetry was misspelled.... typo. Oh well, that's poetry for ya! Some of my best work comes from typos. hahaha
Hope you go out to some open mics in Chatanooga, Steve! It's cool to get out there and read your stuff.

yes, Steve, i know. Just now, i edited the title, but all the posts in this thread refer to the original title, so roll with the 'r' and let the good times roll

thanks, doreen. I didn't expect to see a podium up on stage. Kinda retro.
Great to see poets doing their thing. Need more of that in life!

Re: poetry show @ cafe nola
You're welcome.
Mark, I posted one on your page and on Will's on FB... another on one of the other poet's pages... John's.
Judih,
I find the podium somehow constrictive so I sometimes take the mic out of the stand and use more of the stage... but then again, i have to know the piece pretty well to do that because the lighting is really only on the podium.... but hell, i just make some of it up as i go along anyway. LOL
Sorry but there were quite a few poets I missed! ... my memory card was full. I forgot to delete all the photos from my daughter's Cabaret performance which filled up half of it before going to the show. Next time I'll remember. Also, I'll take Mark's advice and hand my camera to someone else when I'm up on stage. Smart idea!
