Please do not use Internet Explorer! It's not safe!

Post by Doreen Peri » February 22nd, 2013, 12:48 pm

[Admin Note: This issue has been fixed for this site, however, I'm keeping the topic up in the Announcements section of the site because there are links in this thread which will inform you about why using Internet Explorer on ANY site on the web is a very bad idea! - Doreen Peri]

This site was not viewing correctly using Internet Explorer. Everything was appearing centered and that's not how it was supposed to appear.

But it's been fixed by our tech wizard just for IE folks. It was WORK because every other browser works fine other than IE.

IE is an inferior browser. Please NOTE.. because it's important for your browsing experience through every site on the internet:

Please use Firefox, Chrome or Safari.... all are better and more advanced browsers. All of those browsers are FREE.

Internet Explorer is archaic and your user experience on the net (not only this site but everywhere on the net) will be greatly improved if you stop using IE.

Thank you!

I highly recommend using Firefox or Chrome or Safari instead of Internet Explorer. All 3 are far superior browsers to IE.

It's quite possible many sites that you go to using IE don't appear correctly because the developers of that app don't keep the browser properly updated.

You open the door to security risks, also, when you use IE.

Why Internet Explorer Sucks

http://www.worsetech.com/products/why-i ... 02887.html
One of the biggest reasons which make Internet Explorer suck is that IE Ignores All Common Internet Standards!
One one hand there are compatibility issues in the internet explorer which are pain in the ass and on the other hand there is another potential concern about the Security Issues. Security has always been another major issue with Internet Explorer since the beginning. All other browsers simply refuse to use or accept Active Scripting and ActiveX, which are Microsoft application that grant others applications complete access to your browser. As obvious, by means of these two programs, your computer can easily be controlled by others, thereby making internet explorer home for adware, viruses, malware and spy-wares! Even if you use firewall along with an anti-virus, it’s just no good. You will constantly get Malwares on your computer if you are using Internet Explorer. IE will just keep inviting all sort of malwares to attack your computer!
Internet Explorer also has a fatal flaw regarding Overwriting of System DLL files, Whenever IE is installed, it overwrites all of your system DLL files. In most of the cases, the installed files are not compatible, probably because of the fact that IE itself is not compatible with most of the web, hence in result it sometimes also clashes with its own operating system too. Obviously, this makes your system slow down and crash eventually.

You're very welcome. It's SMART to get rid of Internet Explorer because it's an archaic browser for many of the reasons I posted above.... and use a modern, efficient, trouble-free browser with continual automatic upgrades to make sure your browsing experience is secure.

Download Firefox here:

Download Chrome here
https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/

Download Safari for Windows here
http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1531

Download Safari for Mac here
http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/15675/apple-safari
________

Export your Internet Explorer "favorites" (bookmarks) using these instructions:
http://wiki.pcworld.com/index.php/Expor ... la_Firefox

OR .... Firefox, Chrome and Safari all have a feature to "import bookmarks from another browser"

________

By leaving IE behind, you will have a much better internet experience. Welcome to the 21st Century. ;)
