i wonder whether you are not losing some potential participants bec ause of the lack of prominence of the links to the discussion boards. i have recommended to a couple people tp visit studioeight, who nonetheless never noticed the existence of the boards, at least on first visit.

has anyone encountered or considered this phenomenon.?

yes indeed but "phpbb" is not exactly a good mnemonic device, for word of mouth referrals.

I'll change the link on the front page so it's more clear.

It says, "Explore the arts through creative discussion" right on the front page, but maybe it's not clearly a link to the boards.

We're working on an entirely new set up using Content Management Software so the artists and writers will be able to add their own content to the main site. So the current front page will be changing to something else soon. I'll make sure the Discussion link is prominent.

Sorry for the difficulty in navigation. Thanks for letting me know this has been a problem.

I wish I had more time to work on the site development.
