Studio8 - Uniting the Arts

I submitted a poem I posted here, "Unattend" to the local newspaper, The Daily Astorian, just for fun, just to see, on a whim and lo and behold got an email from the coast weekend editor that she loved it and wants to put it in the weekend section of the paper this month or next month on the full moon weekend!

If it werent' for you all here, and Studio eight, I'd never a believed in myself enough to even submit the thing. I really thank you all for that, very very much.

Good for you T! Recognition is always great, especially for a poet as there are so few recognised. You should be justly proud.

Funny, how I submitted it in a state of desperate whim....

Fact is, things have been rather "funny" for me lately, one thing doesnt' turn out, but another one right on it's heels does!

Like last weekend, the theater gig was a bomb, but at the cafe next door where I was hangin and warming up for it, I got a 20 dollar tip for a song! Go figure!

Hell, I'll admit it, I am excited about this poem being accepted, it's a small paper but it's got the largest circulation of anything I've ever been in before!
