Studio8 - Uniting the Arts

Unless I'm losing the other half of my memory, I can't remember seeing Bob Fingerman's comics, particularly his graphic novel, "Beg the Question", discussed on this board.

I recommend it highly, and it would be rated "X" by the Bushco Thought Police if they ever read anything exciting and fun, which they don't.

Take a look at the first twelve ( for free) pages of "Beg the Question", and I'll almost bet-- if I weren't averse to gambling-- that you'll want to see more . . .


I can only add ( before you discover all this for yourself) that Mr. Fingerman is true to the legend of Bob Crumb and the Telegraph Ave. Crummies ( where I used to hang out when I was 22 years old), and writes a compelling and sometimes disgusting story-- sort of a combination of Bukowski and Samuel Beckett . . .

As Hamlet says, one of these days you nice folks here will have to prepare for " . . .the most strange return . . ." of Zlatko and his comical friends.

For now, the sabbatical continues, and I leave you in the able hands of Mr. Fingerman.
