at the black cat in dc, i'll be rockin
with the bum rush band and doing
some wired poetry....this is what it's all about..................

I just thought of a building I bet is long gone, and I don't want to know. It stands massive in my memory like a giant Greek Temple with great stone columns. Very severe and not ornate, Corinthian? It stood some where around Lloyd St And Lombard St around the old shul in Jewtown. It sat back on a little one block long street. It was a youth center when I was a kid. But not for me and my brothers. There was JEA center for us up on Baltimore St. Jitterbug was being worked like a slave by crazy mike. Rose put her foot down the kid had to have some R and R. So Crazy Mike took him to the JEA and enrolled him in a ballet class. Jitterbug was about 12 at the time, was mortified, the only boy there.
