hester prynne's account - sincere apologies!

I don't know what happened but hester emailed me and said she couldn't log on.

So, I tried changing her password for her to see if that would fix it and it didn't work.

So, I tried changing her screen name to "hester_prynne" with an underscore between the first and last names and then changing it back, but that didn't work either.

Eventually, I reregistered her name for her but all of her old posts are listed as "hester_prynne" with the underscore and she appears as a "guest" so the posts aren't searchable, unfortunately.

I don't know what happened but it appears all the posts are still here and I'm grateful for that!

I will go to the phpbb help forums and try to find out if there's a way to merge the names so all hester's posts are searchable.

I'm so sorry this happened, hester! I'll do my best to fix it!

Please let me know that you were able to log-on ok now, ok?

I got back on! I went in and deleted my cookies, and voila, it let me sign in after I did that, with my new password.
thank you Doreen for responding so quickly to my woes.

I notice though, that my picture is gone and that my posts are kinda mucked up....any way to remedy that?
No matter really, I'm just glad to be able to log on again....

i also had to delete my cookies in order to log back in. Didn't everyone? If not, then hester, you and i are in a lucky minority.

but as far as i can see, my posts still exist. so maybe it's you, hest, and your star studded uniqueness blinding the board.

whether i can get the old posts to be searchable again and fix all that (which I screwed up because I was panicked trying to fix it for you... geesh, I broke it trying to fix it! arghhhhh).... i donno.... but I will try as soon as I can ... I can't guarantee it but I will try

we should all be so lucky.

I spill my cookies before and after each session here...or is that guts?... I always confuse the two...probably because I eat so many cookies!
