yeah I wish I could be there
It is funny how much more I would rather see Frederick again than Baltimore. Only thing I got to do in Baltimore is visit graves.

I hope you can keep us posted virtualy. Even a little bit.

Sounds amazing!

But I will no doubt be slaving for wages just a few blocks away

But tell me, how late into the evening might this soiree last?

After 10ish, perhaps?

Mark - Thank you for the invitation! Looking forward to it! It's been wayyyyy to long... we'll jam it out, for sure! ;) Can I play with yer bag of tricks? I love that bell thingy and that fancy drum thingy... heh.. oh and I'll bring the piano keyboard and bongos... LRod will have his flute.

judih - looking forward to seeing the poster, too! Hitch a ride on a jet plane and get over here, lady! :) yeah i know it's impossible... sighhh

'truckin- Wish you could be here! - get on that bike and rev it up here, wouldja? ;)

Sue... I sure wish you could come! *fingerssstillcrossed* but if you can't i've got this digital audio recorder so maybe we can record some of it. :) Actually was hoping to record WITH you! dammit! and get ya up on stage, too!

Raggedman - Great to see you here! At first I thought you were a friend of Mark's from Frederick when I saw your posts. Then a little birdie told me who you are. Would be great to meet you after all these years! Mark tells me the show goes from 7-9. You don't get off work 'til 10? Any way to get off early? Wireman might put a mic in your hand. :)

Of course, there's always the possibility that the party can go on 'til the wee hours of the morning at Studio Eight World Headquarters in Sterling. Ya never know! We could have a CD by morning. Or at least have fun anyway. LOL!!!

Post by Jenni Mansfield Peal » April 27th, 2007, 11:28 pm

Have fun, folks! I'll be playing my mountain dulcimer in pioneer costume at Dallas Heritage Village as Part of Texas Tales Fest. I hope a lot of children show up - I love to sing the Crawdad Song with them. I hope a lot of amiable folks show up at your do as well - happy weekend!

Well that was fun!

Downtime is a very small coffeehouse in downtown Frederick. We met a few locals, talked to them outside, the coffeehouse was as full as it could get, pretty much... meaning there were about 10 people there probably. LOL! ;)

Mark (Wireman) and Mike Monroe played a few pieces with Mark on hand percussions & vocals and Mike playing violin. Then I recited 2 poems, played a piano piece, LRod recited some poetry and LRod and I did a couple of duets... a poem we wrote together and a song he wrote. After that, Mark and Mike jammed a little more and I jammed with them once on the piano and LRod jammed with them once on the piano.

All in all a fun time! The people there seemed to enjoy it... by that, I mean they applauded and smiled and nobody left so I figure that's pretty good. hehe ... plus a few said they hoped we'd all come back another time. Friendly people in Frederick!

Mark's sculptures were hanging all over the walls and man he's got some great new pieces! They are getting larger and more intricate than the last time I saw them. Really fine work, Mark!

Thank you so much for inviting us! We hope to do it again soon! I just love Frederick! Cool town, for sure!

(sorry folks, I didn't bring a camera or a recording device to share any moments. Next time.)

...
Jenni ... sounds like a great weekend out there in Dallas! I hope you enjoyed your time as much as we enjoyed ours! Wish we lived nearer to each other!

:)

packed to the rafters! No one left!
Well that sounds like a rave review to me.
You had fun? You felt the groove? Did you get a nice hit of performance zing?

those are the after-questions.
Would love to see photos
and would enjoy seeing Mark's newest wire sculptures.
Maybe wireman can provide some.

Thanks for telling us about it Dor.
