I love the name!!!!!
I can't see the logos...they won't come up. Waaaaaaa!
I wanna see!
But I am also sure they are incredibly good, I mean after all if Doreen has anything to do with their creation then I won't worry.
Doreen, you rock! Always!

Yes, internet radio... I understand. I do wonder about logos and the internet. Maybe it's my age (!) but I couldn't tell you one logo from another that I remember that came directly from the internet... sure, the highly commercialized ones, but as far as someone's logo for their personal web site..? Nothing stands out. Maybe your talents will be able to have that power of recall when the logo is chosen! :)

you CAN do it, Dor' !

hest ... i donno why you couldn't see them but they're there! lol... believe me. *smile* I'm really glad you like the name of the show! thanks for the encouragement and also for your beautiful voice! the world will hear you! ... as it should be :)

cecil,
All the websites you go to have logos. Well, except this one.. LOL! .. I never got one to stick. All the banners are different and the typeface of "studio eight" changes with every banner. But what I'm saying is, every product, every service, has a logo. They may not stand out to you, but they're there... on websites, product labels & packaging, etc. I don't know if very many people create them for their personal websites like blogs or anything... but I'm sure some do. You see logos on the net every day. Here are just a few.
http://www.netcaucus.org/images/logos-conf07.jpg
and http://www.ripe.net/news/pics/itc-logos.png
Usually the logo for the site is on the top left of the page and when you click it, it takes you back to the home page. I like the simpler ones the best... Amazon.com has a nice logo... Google has a good logo (and they customize it for holidays) .. the youTube logo is nice and simple... memorable.... etc.

But anyway rambling here... just saying that logos are everywhere on the net but I do see what you mean about personal websites maybe not having them. Still the blogger will select a "look" for his or her site, and his or her name or blog name will be in a certain type style .. so that's a logo really.... sorta. ... heh

Anyway, my plan is to use the logo to promote the radio show... so people can click it to get to the link where the show is broadcast and i can post it on websites when i am announcing a new show...

Like I do with the Word Jam logo .... when i announce a word jam

thanks for the chat and the encouragement! This show will work not because of me but because of all the fine musicians and poets participating.... and Ray (cenacle), the producer

More later when I have the date, time and link to listen! First show will be the weekend of March 14th.

This may not be the title after all, as it turns out.

Cabaradio is the name of our stage show. I was just showing the similarity between the radi8 logo #5 and the cabaradio logo.

I was talking about Radi8.

the name may be something different.

Clay, if the show is going to be renamed, please advise me of the new name so I can create a logo and web page.

If the decision is made to go with RADI8, let me know so I can select the logo, colorize it, and create a web page.

Thanks!

OK, the name is Radio Eight or Radio 8
that sounds better when said
this is a radio show, not a a print logo

I'm not messing with a pointless vote. I'm the decider....haha
It's Radio Eight

have fun with the logo

Radio Eight resonates when you say it
Radi8 sounds like something that a high school girl would call her MySpace page
plus it doesn't translate to audio, it's a visual gimmick

What matters is the Show, not the name of the show.
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

if you already changed the name, why do you need to continue to insult the other name and to justify it?

it is what it is.

Radio 8

fine with me.

ANY name will work. thanks.
