Studio8 - Uniting the Arts

Based on the submitted radio show names and the poll, we've decided to go with RADIATE (spelled Radi8) as the name of the show. We picked this one because several of them were voted on that had an 8 in the title and we liked this one best because it is catchy and memorable. Plus, we added "Studio Eight" and "Free Range" to the subtitle since both were also voted on. Free Range has no boundaries. The show will be wide open! We will radiate through the air waves!

Thank you to gmart for thinking up the name and thanks to everyone who participated in contributing their ideas for names! This has already been fun and exciting and the show will be even more so..... thanks to all the artists who have offered to participate and a special thank you to Ray for producing, DJing and hosting the show!

No doubt about it - fabulous, superb name. Easy to remember, filled with impact. And, of course, lots of wide open space for whatever develops.

I'm glad you all like the name! Me too!

I hope nobody thinks the voting process was bogus... 'cause what it really was was a brainstorming session.... and even though we didn't pick a name directly from the process, it really really helped to hear the different name ideas and get an idea what people think would sound good. I'm glad I didn't close the poll before gmart submitted an idea for the name which we ran with. It's all connected... it's got the 8 in it which most people thought would work ... plus it's unique and memorable... Thank you, too, judih, for the "free range".. i just love that!

Here are some logo designs... they are currently only in black & white but once we pick one, I'll develop it in color.

for the record, I think the name is cheesy, cutesy, girly and it doesn't translate well in audio.....just my opinion as a professional, but what do I know? The final decision is a committee of one anyway.
