Some things I've learned in (nigh onto) 70 years....

(your mileage may vary)

If it seems too good to be true, it ain't true

Common sense isn't

Never trust a man who can't laugh at himself

When you get to thinking you're a person of some importance, try ordering someone else's dog around (--Will Rogers)

The common toad proves that God has a sense of humor

I decided long ago that I could never afford to be rich

Nature's own music is the best accompaniment to a walk

I'll trade you a GPS for a USGS topographical map any day

Only a dog can offer truly unconditional love

Mathematics is everywhere, and it is beautiful

The best tomatoes still have a bit of garden dirt on them
.
I'm not an outlier. I just haven't found my distribution yet.

nigh onto eighty years and I have learned gratitude for every one of those years
I finally learned the rock and roll truth, if...
If I keep my gratitude greater than my expectations I will have really good days. [Mothter's Blues, RWH]
what I have learned so far in 2019
it is bad luck to put your glasses on any surface that can be sat on.
if you drop your watch, pick it up before you forget about it and wind up walking on it.
I am trying to commit suicide by living the lifestyle I do
