The (relatively) new billionaire class wants us to believe that government, ie the public sector, is obsolete and needs to be eventually demolished and replaced. At least a couple of them are right now actively trying to destroy said public sector to help speed up the process.

They're not entirely wrong. Government has had its issues with waste and fraud, no doubt, but why not just try to fix these issues instead of just tearing down the whole thing?

Also, when my phone comes on with its "trending searches," why isn't "Trump, Russia" coming up every single time? We haven't heard the last of that connection.

I knew something was rotten from the start, election night 2016, when we heard about those Russian officials-- Putin and Co.-- celebrating. I'd heard that Trump was trying to build one of his golden phallic structures in Moscow, so I wondered if those dots could be connected. I mentioned this recently to my sis (NOT a Trump supporter), and she dismissed it as "Oh, that's SO 2016," as if somehow irrelevant. I don't understand some of my fellow countrypeople in recent years-- sometimes even the ones I agree with!

Was it Bismark who said believe nothing untill you hear the first denial?
