okey dokie Dor...I am glad to know you are fine and dandy.

As usual, I didn't pay any attention to the date of the original post. I am sorry you deleted your replies and your hard work as I would have liked to see them.

But as you are already aware, artists are a funny, goofy, strange type people and tend to be defensive about their work. Even when they "ask" for an opinion as was done here.

We all have been there. We will go there again. For, we as so-called "artists" think what we create is like a child, our child and it springs forth from our very being.

I do hope you let this pass as I am sure you will. I did like the picture very much, just as it is but all of that is subjective and you know how that goes.

And yes, I am very well thank you considering the alternatives and possibilities of situations.

Oh, I let it pass months ago. ;) I was just surprised that my work wasn't wasn't recognized, I guess. I sorta felt dismissed. But I got over it! As you said, artists are funny like that. And this was MY artwork. LOL  (i just remembered it last night is all so that's why I posted what I did .... I really think that people aren't looking for a critique or any advice even when they ask for it. Which is why I said I'll just stick to "nice piece" from now on. If they really wanted a critique or advice, they'd be in an art class, not posting their work online, probably. Just sayin'....)

Here ya go.. I'll post them again but only the links, not the images in the posting window.

This first one is the one most like gmart's original post because of how the fruit appears angular. Only the colors pop more and there are no pixelated edges.

And here are 3 more with different effects.

hummm, those are really, really nice Doreen but a totally different effect and color than his original and maybe, that is why...?

I kinda do like the dark and muted effect of the original. Yours are much sharper, more light and maybe that is not what he was looking for? Heck, I don't know.

Is he still around these parts? Maybe he will LMK for it is hard to tell what the artist was thinking unless he tells...what he was thinking that is.

Truth is, I should let sleeping dogs sleep and just get on with it.

Have a great day Doreen. The studio has waited for me long enough.

Yes. Exactly. They're different. The colors pop more and the edges aren't pixelated.... which is what my point was because the dark colors which are hard to distinguish from each other won't translate well into print... any method of printing... which was what his original question was.... whether to do an oil painting or to print it. I work with print images every day and I know what can work and what won't work in print. That's why I suggested doing an oil painting.

The first image on my list maintains the flat colors which is what he said he was looking for, except the colors are more vibrant and clearly distinguishable from each other which would lend itself to print. I was truly just trying to help... while also enjoying creating some digital art of my own.

Thanks again for looking, SooZ. Enjoy your day in the studio!

I'm designing an installation manual for a product today. Sounds exciting, huh? LOL!... (I'd rather be painting)
