another intaglio print; he died not long after I did this, and it seemed prescient. the looseness of the marks and the space under his image are important.

wonderful that you were able to be with him
he seems to have accepted yet also carries
a sense of fatigue
as tho he had wanted to live
and was measuring his life, not with judgement
but with both regret and wisdom,
a deeply expressive soul
