you can never have too many nyc fire escapes. if i ever manage a trip to nyc i'm sure i'll fill my camera's memory card up with fire escape images.

the sound of a jazz drum solo and the smell freshly made crepes. at least, that's what I imagine.

very emotive painting!

how much time do you spend in Toronto while painting? ;-)

damn fine, Kurt.

question: do you find plywood better to paint on than canvas, or is it a cost factor? my very early, teen years i used gesso over masonite with great success... and saved money.

For one I find plywood far less likely to give in to the forces of humidity and the lack there of...I too use to use masonite, but I find 1/4" thick mahogany ply to be lighter thus easier to hang, and of course I use thicker (3/4") ply when I use my router. Thanks as always for the support....
