Thanks, judih! Yeah, I thought the shape of it lent itself to a banner. Glad you like it!

Thanks, Kurt! It definitely does have a children's book illustration feel to it. Here is its companion piece.... Wildflower Ridge #2

Thanks so much, Arcadia! Glad you like them!

Somehow many of the ones I've been painting lately turn into mountains and flowers and a sun. I donno why. Maybe I need to move to the mountains somewhere warm. Seems to be a subconscious theme.

like SmileGirl's "innocent and childlike" Lucy in the Sky" (with diamonds)
your compositional effect is the same
yet the underlying work and effort has GOT to be apweciated

mixing oils and acwilicks for instance
without bubbling muddling muddying
as the colors are clean and pure

the softer and less aggressive painterly affect
effects me, ma'am
with an inviting charm
to seek repose

the sky and light in both is confident and dazzling
and the wildflowered foregrounds
are brushed in with zen detachment
effectively capturing light and life

the hills are so feminine and womanly
i want to nuzzle and snuggle myself into them
i'm on a survival mission
yo ho ho an a bottle of rum om
