That's very intricate and draws me right in. I thought of all sorts of things like building the pyramids and digging caverns underground for a city. Thanks for sharing this artguy.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you

Hey all thanks for having a look. This piece and one other to come are for an group exhibit coming up in May. Every year we, ( the members of a local Artist Co-op called *New* Gallery), do an exhibit using Washi Paper, a Japanese hand made paper, which as I am finding out has a great courseness in it's texture but a fragility at the same time.
I am actually curating this years' exhibit. It's called "Take A Line For A Walk", quoted from Paul Klee.

Here is the curatorial statement I came up with:
“Take a line for a walk…”
A simple quote from Paul Klee. The vision is simple. The idea is simple. The line runs off our hand, either giving or escaping form, broken or continuous. It guides us or we guide it. Use it precisely, or allow it the freedom to go where it will. The line can represent itself or it can exist as a meditation only. Bring to the surface the line as it appears, or allow the composition its’ own lineal expression. Use the line as a representational tool to define, to cause form, or as an action with effect. Above all allow your line a will, be it yours, or be it of it’s own.
“Take a line for a walk…”
Either in darkness
Or in the light of day
From birth to death
Don’t let it stay
It leads us here and there
This formless line
With no head or tail
Neither me nor you
The wind in it’s sail
No beginning – no end
A spark in the mind
Satori an instant flash
Empty of solidity
Off the end of a whips lash
It’s just a line………..
