so I needed to find this painting to have a visual to close my eyes with.

Is she angelic, spiritual?

Doll, yes, she is angelic and because of that spiritual. but that's the only baggage she carries in relation to the rest of the things around her. I like to put things in new ways to one another.

... or explore traditional notions to the depths.

thx Veronica. I answered this last night but it seems I pushed the wrong button or got sidetracked (occupational hazard) and nothing got posted. Anyways, there is nothing digital 'bout this. And now that you mention it my paintings are more figurative than when i go digital. I never noticed it before you said it but you are right. This one came about because one day I heard the phrase "religious icon" in a conversation that I was not part of. The phrase stuck with me and when I had a chance I looked the word up for detail. Found out it simply meant "image". Thought to myself, I can work with that.
It took a couple of days to finish because i listen to paint & brush and go to where it's coming from to see what can be seen. I know what I'm about when I'm doing a painting but it's hard for me to say anything afterwards about them that don't sound but flat stupid to me. Thank you for gracing me with an intelligent inquiry about it. Thing is I'm always on to the next thing because I see so much and hear so much and so much sparks off even more in my imagination and I want to hold it all really close but my arms aren't nearly even big enough but i try anyways to hold it if for only a moment and take from it and impart something to it in my turn. Wow, you got me all up in my head trying to say what I've never been able to say so I'll stop now.

Thx, Kurt. What you say - felt that myself, that the canvas or the screen or the piece itself made a place for transformation and connectivity to exist and to show itself - a place to leave sign of its presence and it's passing or motion. Well, something like that anyways. Thx again for lookin'.
