Actually I relied upon the old John White watercolors as a reference of how the south eastern Algonquians tattooed themselves.

I have a dear friend who is an Ojibway elder of the Algonquin language group....He has inspired me in many ways. We have a wilderness park just north of here the size of Spain called Algonquin Park...This is my friend Duke Redbird reading one of his poems...
