Waterfall

Post by gmart » December 22nd, 2012, 1:50 am

Another webwsite I vist has a monthly landscape challenge. Various members post photos and everyone picks one and does a painting based on the picture they pick.
This painting was for their December Challange. Its oil on board 16 x 20.
Sadly, I wont be particpating in the poetry, I havent written anything
in quite a while. I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday and a prosperous New Year.
Now that we made it past the Myan Apocalypse, its all down hill from here.

Beautiful!

We've had Image Jams which were similar, where people painted or drew the photos posted. I like the idea of having a monthly challenge.

I'd love to visit the site you go to! Could you share a link either here on this thread or by private message? I'd be interested in taking part in such a challenge.

I love your painting.

Sure Doreen,

The main site is Wet Canvas and the monthly challenge takes place in their Landscape Forum.
Ive had a hard time finding it in the past so here is a link directly to the forum. The challenges start around the first week of each month with a member posting a number of pictures that people pick from. Heres the link

Another site you might be interested in that I havent competed in yet the virtual paintout.
What they do here pick a location somewhere in the world. Then you use google maps street view and explore the location and pick a street view and paint it. Heres a link to them

Enjoy and Have a great Christmas
