Audre Lorde...1938- 1992
This Art piece is an homage to Audre Lorde
she was a self described, "black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet "
who dedicated her life and creative talent to confronting and addressing
injustices of racism, sexism, classism and homophobia
The quote comes during her lengthy battle with cancer
which she ultimately lost
