Thanx Roy...ideas are still coming and I'm still game at trying to bring them to life...so to speak

Hey sorry to hear you have to go thru another replacement....but I guess the milder weather is better for rehab, huh ?

Is your daughter coming to help you ?

The plan is to first go through PT, like I did the last time. I'd lost a lot of muscle tone by not walking, & I think my quick recovery was partly attributable to having done several months of PT prior to surgery. There's also a tactical reason: Medicare would like to see some non-invasive therapies before springing for another major operation so soon after the first. Still, this time I'd like to get it done a little earlier in the year to give me more time before the snow flies - exact schedule TBD.

Yes, Becky said she'd be willing to fly east again - now that she's self-employed, her schedule is a bit more flexible. My sister lives nearby and said she'd be happy to drop by daily to peek in on me, taking some of the burden off my daughter. Either way, I'm a lot less frightened by the prospect than I was the first time, and eager to get back on my feet. I was so close before - doing 2-3 miles a day, even if only along ice-free pavement. Your accounts of marsh trekking are making me hungry for the same!

Keep the paintings coming!
