... Roy, what's new?
I've had to relearn what they taught me in OT - now my left leg is the good one, just opposite of before. Right hip socket has closed up noticeably since the surgery. Just finished formal PT... I sign all the release forms on the 22nd this month, for surgery a few weeks hence. Becky has again offered to babysit for me, with assistance from my sister. I WANT TO GET THIS DONE! A total solar eclipse is due to pass over upstate Vermont sometime in 2024 and I want to be fit enough to travel there to see it! And if the 2nd operation goes as smoothly as the 1st, I trust I'll be able to. Unless of course... well, never mind that. Forward, march...

Had another short story accepted for publication, in a locally-run e-zine. I posted an early draft (one of many) here under the title "Metamorphosis". I retooled it & changed the title to "Animus". Just a few hours ago I received the editors' emended copy, & sent it back with a few changes of my own. Can fame & fortune be very far off? (Let's see... local e-zine... no $$$... I'll guess "Yes, it can.")
