Reggae chalk sketches

I found some old chalk sketches of mine. They're faded
and damaged, but they brought back some memories...
Bob Marley, from "Rastaman Vibration"
Puma, from Black Uhuru
They're "rough around the edges", but I still love
these old sketches.....

thanks, panta...
I like the idea of capturing both features and mood (as you did so well with "Inner Woman". My sketches are taken from an album cover and "liner notes".... images chosen for the challenge they presented in portraying the subject's mood/expression.
My sister is a talented painter who is just now beginning to get some art show exposure. She works in oil and focuses on classic portraiture, with painstaking attention to detail and mood, including the "mood" of each background, by means of secondary images/imagery and darkness underpinning light.... Maybe some day, I'll try to post some of her work.
Oops.... almost forgot my sketch of Burning Spear....
(ruffness)....

or....
as quick turnaround circles of cyber consciousness may dictate....
a box with a red "X" in the middle of it, when appropriate (as I unexpectedly saw tonight).
Enjoy, either way....
I know I will....

wow, i just saw this. forgot all about these! yeah, for a brief time in the late '90s i lived with 2 other artistic types, and i dabbled in making art. (man, i miss those days!). but i really didn't stick with it, and i haven't done anything since. not in the last 9 years or so. (too busy kicking up dust and such). i liked the chalk pastels best... so i could use my fingers!
anyway, thanks terry, doreen and cec.
from the earliest days of the studio! cool...
