this is my homework, before i hand it in. we're not allowed to work in colour yet. we're learning about composition lines, balance (which is so much more complex than i thought), and direction.

Image
6 equal visual frames of reference. 2 demonstrating spacial tension, 2 displaying inner forces, and 2 showing nearness (which is also not what i thought it was).

nearness doesn't mean how close an object is to the viewer, it means the meaning we attach to things which are near to each other. like how the stars say 'question mark' to us because of the stars which are closer together and the one star which is farther apart. the two supposedly short bars attracted to a point in the supposedly longer bar says 'the letter k' to us because there is meaning in the nearness.

and balance requires a fulcrum in order for it to be present. do you know where your fulcrum is?

Wow.... the unrecognized "fulcrum".... Take heed, all you
'balance' disciples...

some yin-yang propulsion...
some core radiance...
and some interpretations somewhere in between...

Thanks for the "snapshots".
