I never know what to say about art
I like looking at that surface
there was more there
than meets my eyes at first look

True, I always look at mingo's pictures thinking it has some subliminal image, but I can't figure out what it is except that it's catchy, I like what I see and wish I knew more.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

I don't understand what I see, I mean I can't put it into words as if there a disconnect. I usually wait for another artist to comment on a piece and then say, "Ah so that is what it is" A lot surfaces in that surface, maybe if I counted there would be 43 of them I don't know.

Art intimadates me. Years ago there was an exhibition of "degenerate art" from the Weimar Republic. I came out of the museum with tears in my eyes. Still not sure why.

Well there it is another art blurt from an art idiot. just call me the "Critic"

Thanks folks. Sorry I didn't get to this sooner. Been over a great deal of the state in the past two days trying to locate an old Suzuki Sidekick or Tracker in halfway decent shape. Just when I had given up on the whole idea we were heading out of Rome here in the great state of Yew Nork which was a side trip we had not planned to make when we find exactly what we were looking for in a most unexpected way and in a place we had not expected to be. I love it when it happens that way. I'm not sayin' it's good and I'm not sayin' it's bad. I just love it when it happens out that way.

Anyways... Dame, I am not conscious of any intent when I paint. I start by looking at the untouched canvas or whatever surface I'm going to paint on and I ask it, "Who are you and what's going to happen now ? Mostly I just like playin' with this shit.
Jack, thanks for looking and enjoying yourself. I think I know what you mean about seeing things in it. It had that effect on me too of seeing things that was strong enough to distract me at times as I was playing and coaxing with it. I liked the Mel Brooks you posted on it.
'Reen - Thanks for stopping in. And thanks for your suggestion to post a piece or two up here. 8) How you feelin' ?

Thx Mark. What's shakin' down in FredRock ? I ain't really had a lot of time lately to keep up with folks around here. Been hitting the trail pretty hard the past few weeks and ain't had a lot of time for writin' and paintin'. Or readin' or seein' what other folks are puttin' down. We're coming up on summer here damn fast. Thx for the sayin', Mark.
I gotta go kiss Veronica now so I'll catch ya later.

If art doesn't bring out interpretations then it's dead. This does and is therefore art and good at that.

Thx,dadio. You're right, art should be alive, & have it's own life. I have a hard time talkin' 'bout it though. Talkin's not doin' and the life is in the doin' I think. I do it then it's on to the next piece. For me you're either breathin' or you're dead. I like breathin'.
