Studies of a General Motors Truck
Note how powerfully this vehicle, made to haul serious loads, commands attention but is only carefully parked as if patiently awaiting it's next job... from its strong, solid steel bumper to the rear bed and the hooked-up and ready-to-go trailer to do a job to help build America... to give American's a job worth doing for their future and their children's future:
____________
The first thing we see are the running lights on the roof, bravely standing the elements, come as they may, to assure all other traffic that this truck is on it's way... and the strictly utilitarian use of singular headlamps, rigidly attached with brackets still intact despite all these years... and the massive chromed grill which was built not to deliver awes but AIR to cool the engine as necessary, when necessary... a salute to good, honest manufacturing principles no longer seen or even demanded of the U.S.A.:
____________
How can we not be impressed by the stately upright position of the cab or the windows (shrouded to keep the sun away) with nary a crack or hole in the glass... the proud hood assembly faithfully embracing the motor built to last far past even 2010... and the small and (again) utilitarian vent opened logically by hand inside the cab with a firm and powerful handle that even the most strong arm could never bend or mutilate, unlike the plastics of today which will snap off in the faintest of hands in a short period of time...
____________
Not GMC... abbreviated as if everyone knew what those three letters meant, including the new generation that is growing up around us...no, this states General Motors Truck... truck! not car, not bus or anything but what this vehicle was proudly made to be - not just any truck, but GENERAL MOTORS TRUCK... should it be..? ...can it be any other way?
