Nice shots. I haven't had much luck capturing herons - I don't usually see them until they're on the wing. I have lots of pictures of them disappearing into the distance. I don't think I've ever even seen a bald eagle - though one time my daughter saw one when I was parking the car...

Most people in these here parts refer to the 56 miles of 2 roughly parallel rivers that run from southern PA, through Maryland and eventually reach the Chesapeake Bay as the Big and Little Gunpowder Rivers.....but technically their names are Big Gunpowder Falls and Little Gunpowder Falls.......however upon their confluence they become the Gunpowder River that empties into the Bay.....No one ever uses "Falls" when referring to these rivers......
